And its back again.....
Ruger American .308 Syn/Blue Rifle & Scope | Trade Me
$100 was probably a fair price for the scope and rifle!
Welcome to Sako club.
Haha, the guy isn't even good at being a crim, if he listed it with a $500 buynow the first time, he would have sold it (there was actually people bidding that much on it believe it or not) and ripped some poor bugger off and made a really healthy profit in the process. Theres one thing worse than a good conman, that's a shitty conman
Get the feeling the guy selling this knockoff scope hasn't been around guns too much. Is there is something wrong with that bipod.
I see the rifle is back on Trademe, and that scope is nowhere to be found.
Suppressor is probably made of cardboard too.

Well he only bought the rifle and a shot gun a few weeks ago, obviously with the intent of on selling them
Escort 20g pump & ruger American .308 | Trade Me
$900 for a pump action escort 20g wif its tacticool addons FFS.Its only worth 2/3 of that at very best being ???3rd hand
reading Q&A and his insistence on cash ,makes me wonder maybe hes had unwelcome visits from large tattooed men in dark glasses reminding him that their headcheeae is still waitng for the folding stuff promised..This has got gullibility written all over it.
HMMMM-also makes me think perhaps the gear could be from shady origins.
"Prefer cash in hand"
"...can do $1200 pick up tonight"
"... I'll give it to you for $1150 cash"
"...ether tonight or tomorrow will be good"
"...no way of taking c/c payment..."
Well that doesn't sound dodgy!
Doesn't sound dodgy to me. If I'm selling something over the internet I'd only take cash in hand if they're picking it up. Credit card? Sure I'll just whip out this handy eftpos machine I carry in my back pocket...
When I was younger, even more naive, and completely new to firearms I bought a scope on Trademe for $100, the brand wasn't advertised but it said suitable for .308. When it arrived it said Leupold Mark 4 on it, thought I'd hit the jackpot when I did some research on the brand. Took it to Allan Millars Hunting and Fishing to see what they thought and I was offered (from memory) $600 cash or a Marlin XS7 for a trade by the manager. I then took it to show the (then) manager at Centrefire McCarthys who said he'd never heard of a Leupold Mark 4 and it must therefore be a fake. I'm not sure what's worse; not being able to tell an obvious fake (for someone in the know, after all the serial number was 8888) or having never heard of a Mark 4? In the end I stuck it on a .17HMR.
You're speaking off the dumbass trying to sell the fake scope, who was the buyer in the auction we're talking about. The seller insisting on cash seems totally legit.
