For the price of a DPT I think i'll just shoot the crap out of mine and then replace it. The suppressor should outlast a couple of barrels on my .243 and hence I treat mine like a disposable item.

Yep. Exactly right.
I wanted a quieter version for my .243 and not bothered by the extra weight.
Pleasantly surprised with the size and weight.
Scott will do a muzzle-forward version on request. It is still a little bit heavier than the DPT muzzle-forward mainly due to a heavier wall thickness in the primary chamber and a small increase in weight over the DPT per baffle. I've migrated over to a MF SSRNZ from a DPT on the bush rifle to support local innovation, but also dropped a baffle out. I like it.
SSRNZ are all aluminium other than the inserts mentioned earlier. The weight of the over-barrel comes down to the design and material thicknesses used. I found it better balanced on an intentionally heavier weapon.

One is on the 223 and the other is .243 so there is s noise difference.
I will say that when they're fired from a hill top with no surrounds they're very quiet.
Will you be making strings of shots?
