Are these collectable? uncle was given it and seems to think its of the same value as a sporterised 303
Tentman - did you tell him?????
Someone keeps nicking your chair so it's stropped to the table.
So here are the first groups shot 10 minutes ago after an initial clean. I need to get serious when the light is nice but for 62 year old eyes with Buckhorn open sights -shooting "minute of rabbit" at 40M is just fine with me.
Bottom group was the first fired. 2nd group sights raises a bit and now getting familiar with the trigger, which is a crisp 4 lbs I'd say.
A further clue maybe - on the inside of the walnut foreend are legible letters that read "church 1917". I need better light but I think that's all there is.
Curious - is it a J Stevens or Stevens A T and T marked rifle
Nice tho
What ever it is
This is a later- made rifle -they made them up to 1940 or so.
Last try,
A 44 with a different trigger.
GPM.
My two are both the A&T markings
And my number 3 of these is currently traveling to its new owner
The Church of
John Browning
of the Later-Day Shooter
