Thread: Steyr "tactical" scout? (heavy barrel)

    Had a looksie and apparently his rifle is a completely custom steyr scout sharing similar aspects of both the standard scout and the elite.

    It's a standard steyr scout with all of the attachments added to it. It doesn't have the full length picatinny rail, and different bolt.

    I'm just trying to find what rifle they pulled the barrel from, since I can't seem to find any scout model with a 19" heavy stainless barrel (sand blasted) whether it's a scout or not.

    Sorry for the thread revival.

    It sounds like you purchased a Steyr Scout Ranger. These were mainly limited to the Australian market.

    The scout ranger is essentially a steyr elite with a 19" barrel.
