Yeah , I was actually thinking of your comment about slop , I presume side to side movement , which is present on almost all 2 lug actions ( external lugs ) , from a lot in say a Mauser to less say in a Rem700 .

I can only think of maybe one thats different and has almost no slop , and its a heavy action so maybe not what you need .

If you wanted less slop and was not worried how many lugs I would have steered you towards a whole body type lugs , like a AI , or Weatherby etc .
RE : detach magazine , AI donot make a magazine for the 30-06 rd , they do make a 300WM magazine & that mag handles the 284win cases OK with out any mod .
If you use a 300WM for a 30-06 , the mag lips will need modifing .

It was the binding that killed me... Reload speeds were poor and there was a really specific tekkers needed to stop the binding so I had to let her go!!

We are gonna get the win mag size and go from there... In fact, accurate mag do a 30-06 size one but I'll order them from MDT since we are using that chassis system.
