You were quick to find one buy unfortunately way to big,the stock is only 35mm wide buy 125mm long, but thanks for taking your time to find one,i have ended up getting one fron churchill them selves, apparently they had some old stock,my lucky day.
gonna ring the A/O on monday and see what he has to say about importing a recoil pad

If a pad was imported for a firearm then there will be some officious little bastard who will make life difficult for you. On the other hand an armpit cushion for a crutch would be a different story! Seriously, there is plenty of choice in NZ already, Pachmayr are first class (imported by Pain & Co), and Bisley pads are a very good pad for not much money.

Most pads are fitted oversize then trimmed to shape as almost every rifle has a slightly different shape...(except Tikkas which are all the same )

Nearly all aftermarket butt pads come larger than required and will need some fitting. Thats so when you are fitting it, you can match the stock shape and lines. Its an easy job to do, a little time and a little care. If you want some info on how to do it, let me know, or your local gunsmith. I think you will find a butt pad sent from Churchill will probably not match exactly, or may even be oversize and need to be fitted anyways.

I brought a recoil pad from my local friendly sports sports shop. For an extra 20 bucks they fitted it aswell. Did a good job too !
It was a limb saver and in stock.

I know aftermarket pads are bigger than required and are trimmed to suite the stock profile this stock is quite slender and most aftermarket that suite are 10mm wider and 20mm longer like the Bisley pad, i want to keep the rifle correct to the period hence the a specific type of pad, it was lucky enough to find some rosewood to replace the tip and pommel but unfortunately the white spacers(if thats what they're called) were made of some sort of bone and to brittle to save.
