    Suggestions wanted for classic 22

I have a classic Brno 2E, family heirloom thats been sitting in the safe for a while.
Looking for a 40mm max objective, mil-dot ideally as I like to hold over for different ranges when sighted in at 50m.
1 inch tube. def not 30mm.

Don't want a tacticool scope, nice lines that won't break the bank.

suggest some brands and models too look at please.

If you can find one, A nikko Airking make a great scope for a 22. Wont break the bank and very decent scopes. Or for an older gun like that, a older style Leupold fixed power or weaver etc.....I will have d dig around in the boxes from the shop stock- there might be something in there.....

can be limiting what to put on those as if it has back sight getting one short enough to clear sight - maybe a leupold 1.5-5 - thats what I had on mine and left back sight intact

A Zeiss conquest 3-9 with a rapid reticle would keep with the Euro class.
    Overkill is still dead.

adding to that I had same problem putting scope on my Sako Vixen finding one that fitted while leaving back sight on- leupold Vari II fitted on sako okay BRNO 2 a lot harder - put my Leupold 1.5 - 5 on it and never felt under scoped - it is sad to see a lot of nice BRNO 2 for sale and back sight missing blade and bridge - just base left

if you can find a vx1 3-9x40 with a LR duplex they are quite handy for assessing the drop at distance
tough as nails too as my 22 gets a bit of a hiding on the quad

I like the leupold 3-9x33? EFR. It’s a vx3 series but it does have your reticle choice. So….

have a look at the Tract rimfire series with BDC reticle. Zero on 50 yds and moa drop marks for each 25 yards past that to 150 yds with high/hyper velocity ammo.

Now your going to have to do that on top power and the drops will be unique to your ammo rifle combo. 3-9 and 4-12 to choose from. 4-12 would be my choice I think.

I have a Tasco on mine from new late 80s.
You would be surprised how many rifles of that era were fitted with similar.
Money or the lack of it talked.
Back sight removed to allow fit.
