Will get some photos up later. No modifications at all, just remove the front sight on the 870. It's a collet type arrangement so you just put a stainless sleeve over the barrel, slip on the adapter and tighten up real tight.

That's really reasonable Whisper. Be great to hear how it goes!! SP40 lead 3's with a full choke will dominate poor old possum! Had one of those Extender Full chokes for steel once, jeez it loved SP40's! Poked a 12 - 14" pattern out over 50m! you had to hold over on the long ones, great fun.

id like to see one of these in action to see the acual merit and practicality of the idea, if it was worthwhile it would be a very good thing to have for a few shot gun related things I do speically for my dog
