Have got Oceania Defence, MAE and DPT on mine and they are all good
I'd say those three plus Gunworks and SSRNZ are all good brands, just depends what you want to end up with

Someone could probably do a flowchart

For quietest shooting you should retain the full barrel length and don't be shy to use a big long suppressor (Gunworks pride themselves on maximum noise reduction but are bigger and heavier than many new competitors) and investigate whether a subsonic load is possible (not so easy I suppose for 243). Phone Gunworks (Robbie or Amanda) and DPT (Darren or else the Frenchman) and check which model might achieve your priorities. A change in powder or ammo type might result in less unburnt powder coming out te muzzle.

If it's deer you're hunting then surely shooting one at a time is enough ? If you're taking more than one shot then some range time or a laser range finder might be better than a suppressor.
Its been a question ive been wanting to know for a while about who's standard suppressor has the most noise reduction

Far as I know, no-one's done a valid (and independent) study of this. It's not a simple project let me assure you.

MAE for me, run them on everything from .22LR .22WM .22-250 .243 6.5x.284 and .300 Blaser Magnum

They are heavier, not an issue for me, they work splendidly well, and are exceptionally durable.

the quietest one lately I have had any thing to do with is the hardy stealth.

If weight is an issue go for DPT or a Hardy can.
If not, I have a ASE Utra SL5i and it's awesome.

Yes, the SL5i in .25 calibre would be the smallest and lightest option from us; c 335-345 grams.

With an excellent size to performance ratio.

With a fully welded stainless steel, so whether you end up shooting 50 or 5000 rounds through it, it will serve you well.

    Best Regards!

I will try some sonic defender earplugs and no suppressor...rifles lack balance for snap shooting with suppressor on and I can't bear to lop the barrels short on a 6.5 x 55 and 270w. See how we go...might end up with an 18inch swede yet.
