Swaro Z5 vs Zeiss Conquest HD5

Not seen these side by side. What your thoughts on them. Swaro is ighter is all I can see from the specs .
What are they like to see through. Compared to their peers.

    Cheers

Have had both. The Zeiss is nice, but the swaro is a step above. Field of view and glass are better on Swaro however, clicky bits on the zeiss is nicer imo

Yip totally agree. Got the 5 - 25x Zeiss; adjustment and tracking is faultless and the zero stop is always an advantage, great scope. Also owned a Z3 4-12x and agree that the glass was probably sharper.
The only way you would really tell is comparing them side by side.

I have had both. Run the zeiss now.
    Both are good scopes imo.
Swaro has slightly better glass Zeiss is a tank.
I'm clumsy so I went with the tank.

Have both - Swaro glass definitely has the edge. The Zeiss HD5 is good glass but its not the top end Zeiss glass that's on offer in HD5.
Other notes - having had several models of HD5, all in 3-15 x42 some with plex reticle and others with the Z600 or Z800 - some were clearer than others. Slight but noticeable to my eyes.
All Swaro's I've had the glass quality/clarity is consistently very good.

Out of the box you get more dial up with the HD5 (target turret model), but the Swaro can be retro-fitted with after market turret (~$150) which gives you 30+ moa come up.

Hey great feedback. Kinda confirms my thoughts. The lack of elevation on the swaro was a thought but it should still have plenty for average long range out to 600m in a flat calibre like 6.5, I reckons its 20ish usable MOA from a zero available ?
The other option is VX5HD as its about the same weight and cost as the Zeiss but also has Firedot, Ive got a VX6 HD and an pretty impressed compared to my NF and Leica scopes, but fancied euro glass again.

with Z5 3-18x44 you are limited to 13.25 moa with the standard Swaro BT. Good for 650 - 700 yrds assuming you're running a high BC pill.

See an earlier post re the custom turret option, https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....waro-z5-45153/

I like the swarvoski more, I had a zeiss HD5, swapped with a mate for a Z5, 3x18, it was my only Zeiss, and I've got several swarvo,
There is a New Z5 in 2.4 x 12 x 50, looks like it has more adjustment. than the 3x18x44 maybe an option.
    Both quality scopes,

V6 is the newer version for Zeiss
Pretty much no HD5 left as new

I’ve had both - like the turrets in Zeiss as full dialing
Glass is tops on both to normal eyes - you would need both side by side and similar size of scopes too to tell
