    T3 tight bolt lift

Just putting it out there as have a tikka that is having a problem that when the action is cocked and the trigger pulled the bolt is hardish to open.
This happens on a loaded round or an empty chamber.
I tried a bolt from another tikka that is working normally and it does it with that to.
It is pointing to so etching in the trigger group I reckon.
    Any clues out there?
Other than that it cocks and fires fine!
    Cheers Andy

I've had one do this on me in the middle of a shoot. Bolt became really hard to open. I disassembled it and gave it a good clean out with brake cleaner and re-lubed the spring and camming surfaces - sweet as. Suspect it was a bit of dirt worked its way into a bad place.

Flush trigger group with a liberal amount of lighter fluid, fire and recock multiple times.

Usually lube the bolt camming surfaces (both primary extraction surfaces and where it re-cocks on the trigger, but not the trigger itself!) with a light coat of high quality lithium grease.

Weird that it still did it with a different bolt, but cleaning your bolt fixed it.

Had this happen a time or two - generally after someone's adjusted or removed and replaced the trigger.

Well turns out the other bolt was pretty dirty as well!

Good timing. Had exactly the same happen to me over the last couple of bunny shoots since Xmas.

Wondered if it might be bolt. Cleaning out.. er… tomorrow. Not gonna happen tonight. Party has started!

    Will report on findings.
