Same here, i have 2x superlite tikkas that have been cut into the flutes when shortening. DPT did both of them and i dont recall them having any concerns in doing so. Both rifles are if anything more accurate than when they had full length barrels.

can't feel any weight difference between the two rifles, i'd grab the t3x lite if your planning to cut down to 16".
I’m going to take a different view. I have had several T3s and every one has been a Lite. The weight saving of a Superlite is very minimal and will be even less if you chop it. The extra weight in the barrel, albeit small will reduce barrel flip to some degree and will be stiffer. Less of an issue with .223 for sure, but still an issue
I built a .284 Win Superlite for a friend which is definitely less accurate than mine built on a Lite.
Anyway, it’s your choice, and good luck with it.
Cheers.

If it's a new rifle, just buy a T3x Bush Hunter with a factory 16 inch barrel.
Well I’m sorted lads. Going to grab the ‘elite’ that @6.5 CRD offered up. A good shooter too by all accounts, looking forward to it!
