    Hard loaded you’ll get 2900+fps in a 21. No chance of 2950+ with factory 130 ammo in a short tube or likely even longer ones with most tailor mades . But a 130 at 2850 works a treat!

    I have a 20” .270 and get 2850fps with the 145 eldx. And 2950 with Barnes 129 LRX
    Shot plenty of animals out as far as 800m big stags at 550m and still broke both shoulders with the eldx and found Bullet under skin on far shoulder.

    I chrony some federal 120gn fusion the other day and it was 2853fps out of 22” barrel, I’m getting 2980fps with 145Eld-X (reloads)

    Will be reloading but not too bothered on pace. 300m would be a long shot for around here. Thanks for all relevant info and opinions though guys.

    Those slips on the tops of the Kaimais are a loooonnnnggggg way away.

    Here's an interesting article on shortening a 270. Long barrels are overrated IMO.

    I have a 18" sako 75 in 270 il sell for a sharp price as i need the cash to pay of a rifle iv already put a down payment on. Just though id see if i can temp anyone lol
