Thermals- Pulsar vs Pard vs Guide vs Others

Looking at thermal spotters and see 3 brands readily available in NZ- Pulsar, Pard and Guide. Does anyone have any experience with Pard or Guide that can share what they know? Obvious choice is the Pulsar Helion XP50, but at $8k worth looking at what else is available.

Sorry if this Subject has been flogged already...

Used all of the ones you mentioned . Pulsar hands down the best . Guide was good but the swap-able battery and quality on the pulsar is better . The pard was choppy and would make you want a better unit quite fast.. A lot depends on your budget.

I rate the pard over the pulsar, never used a guide have used a GSCI. We’re you using the thermal pard or the digital/nvg model @Clint Ruin?

Thermal. Played with the digital pards when fitting them to customers guns . Was looking thought the pard back to back with the helion.

Yup. It just felt choppy to my eyes . Swinging it around at a decent speed it took longer to re calibrate. Just my opinion as someone who has had hands on with a few .
Was using a xp50 helion which is a higher price bracket unit

They are; we get a lot of comments like that as we are travelling the country visiting stores at the moment
The video could be better too - focusing and seeing deer for a northlander is like a teenager .... - forgot to turn on Picture in Picture etc
But its real; as it happened video

They are $5499 and $5999 for the Laser Rangefinder model

We don't have a dedicated handheld as of yet - but what I do is put a QD mount on it and carry it in my bino case - easy to scan and few seconds to clip to rifle and shoot

    :-)
I doing same with my Thermion - cost me a Deer other night as attaching the QD's quick in dark with aging eyes and fingers took too long
I have this coming for it which will make it a bit better attach in a rush
