    Thoughts on a Swarovski z6i 5-30x50 bt

    Hi,
A mate of mine has a chance to buy one of these second hand at a good price . He wants to put it on his tikka 300 win mag to shoot up to 600.
Any issues to look for on these?

I have two of them and find them excellent scopes. They are light weight (compared with other manufactures), have crystal clear optics and with the IR and BT make them suitable for most hunting applications. They are also supported by Swarovski's legendary warranty and after sales service & support. If your mate is looking for something even lighter the Z6i 2.5-15x44 BT is designed specifically for mountain use.

Any specific questions feel free to drop me a PM.

The biggest issue is it's not me buying it.

Awesome scopes. He won't be disappointed.

That's a lot of scope for shooting out to 600. I'm very confident with my Z5 3.5-18 x 44 to there and just past on my bitsa Sako 75 7RM.

The click are mushy, but repeatability is good. If he does get it, piss the silly coloured rings off, and get a Mil-rad graduated drop-on ring, available from NZ Ammo.
