    Tikka Bolt - replacement bolt

Hey Team, am I correct that the tikka bolts will be non magnum and magnum face or is it more complicated than that? I lost my .243 bolt and looking at the .308 bolt for sale on Trademe as a good replacement option (both T3x).

The 308 bolt will fit perfectly if your 243 is a T3 or t3x too.

Jusy have the headspace checked. Should be good,,but play safe. Happy shopping.

To be honest. That's not terribly far off what a new one would cost. It's a nightmare to find a new bolt for any modern centrefire rifle and generally not worth the price compared to claiming insurance and getting a new rifle. That doesn't even consider the wait time if one isn't already in New Zealand to begin with.

you can buy a second rifle and share the bolt between the two if that interests you

just make sure its a creed/270/30-06/308/260/ so its the same case head size

Yeah hunting and stealing are quoting $1100 + Gst + gunsmith for headspace check and then wait 6-12 months for the privilege.

I did shoot my 308 with 6.5 Creed bolt unintentionally and both gun are T3X. The accuracy was off, not too much but noticeable. Sub MOA again after switching back to the 308 bolt
