    Tikka M65 - threading, sacrilege?

Hi all - I got hold of a pretty original Tikka m65 a while back. Woodwork is shabby and will be touched up, but overall its a nice rifle.

Question is, I've softened to the use of a suppressor on my 308. Would threading the old Tikka ruin her? Or are they not so sought after in original condition?
    Appreciate your thoughts!

    Ok my take on this.
So I inherited a heirloom sako finbear 30-06.
My youngest has just got hiz firearms licence and a full length unsuppressed 30-06 would just sit in the safe.
So chopped suppressed bedded (Jaco top job) and now have a very usefull bit of kit.
The relation that has since passed away
Would rather it be modified and used by an up and coming young fella than been in a safe.
Unless the rifle you are talking about has a large monetary value unmolested deal to it and enjoy.
I myself have a 590 308 chopped to 16.5 inches and it gets used!

they were a very nice rifle - okay I am an unabashed early Tikka Sako fan - personally I would suppress it and use it - they are not rare and not overly collectable - now if it were a mint Sako Vixen in 222 or a Sako Forester in 308 or the very collectible because of rareity a Sako 308 Finnwolf - mint and thats the key - probably not - of course if you are wealthy you could re barrel - suppress that and keep the original barrel as is - more important to use it - they were damn accurate

I'm reminded of the famous phrase - "Don't chop the dinosaur...". Good thing your tikka isn't a dinosaur - thread it Timmy!
