That then leaves me with the question.
Can any legitimate firearms retailer in New Zealand open an account with you , if, they so choose?
It's not a retailers decision on who can or can't open am account... Suppliers have very valid reasons to not let every man and his dog have an account e.g. bad credit, not enough volume, irresponsible pricing etc.

Screwing the customer even further with this kind of retail bigotry does not surprise me in the least.
But you have owned one, eh Carlsen, and extolled its virtues until you found that the trigger mechanism required oiling...?

No Chris is doesn't relate to any specific retailer.
The question was purely that you pipped my interest then when you said "Obviously its not possible for "each and every firearm retailer in the country" to have a valid account"

    I wondered , Why not?
If I am say a legitimate firearms retailer [ Which I am not] why would I not be able to open an account and sell Tikka, Sako, Beretta shotguns and other Beretta merchandise if I thought here was a market in my area?

    That's all.

By coming on, and, as above I appreciate that you have, you will possibly get a number of questions, some good, some not so good.

I am not aware of any current plans for this. If it were to happen it would be some time away - production on the new T1X is going to be stretched for some time, so I cant imagine a new model getting thrown into the mix so early in the peace.

Yes, yes , yes PerazziSc3, let assume please that we are simply talking about a retailer of good standing but not a major chain or large shop
All I wish to know is , is there any reason that any small store not be able to open an account and sell Beretta products, like have a Tikka, Sako or two on the shelf but also have access to more if a customer wanted .
Tell me why a supplier would stop a retailer from stocking the product as long as the account was paid when it is due, regardless of how many sakos etc go out his door.?

    Sure no probs
I only meant it as a generalization that there are many sporting goods stores in NZ and some have probably never even heard of Beretta so its not feasible to expect them all to keep and maintain an account.
To answer your question, If you were a legitimate firearms retailer, who pays their bills etc then I can see no reason you would not be allowed to open an account. I don't know all the requirements - but i would have something to say about it if we turned legitimate prospective customers away.

I am heartened to see your ancient memory has retained such a detail. That aspect is almost true, but omits all the other things I didn't like about it, which are legion. If the chap from Beretta expresses any interest I can develop this thread hijack at great and tiresome length.

Thanks for your reply Chris. you must be new there. I await your further enquiries of your colleagues with interest. However don't waste your time with Accounts etc - ask the GM.

To Sidney etc - you guys need to think about things more, I have a long involvement in supply chains. In NZ we pay extra for a range of stuff e.g. fuel and building materials so if you want to be reamed like those sectorsfo yo consumers for your firearms purchases then I'd say you are the nieve ones. Our local H&F is fine and I buy stuff there. However it's my choice where I spend my $ .

The ‘retard’ is strong with this one.

Perhaps you should engage your brain before your mouth/fingers for a change?

It’s worth a try at least.

Do all the old model Tikka rifles suddenly stop working when a new model is released?

Is that why there's such a panic about availability of the T1X? Is my T3 going to seize?

    @systolic

T1 is a new line of rimfire 22lr and 17hmr. Not a centrefire if that's what your thinking.

Yes your T3 is going to seize in mid March, I'll give you $50 for it.

Sorry to say, but I will, this is not a very productive discussion.
