Shooting wise its not going to make any difference, maybe bed the knox? Looks more a longer range rig than bush to have leaves and shit jam in there?

Yep tops rifle, but hunt a bit in fiordland and have to do a bit of bush bashing to get to the tops. Will have to be more careful.

You could of course wrap the barrel in tape and use a lightweight bedding compound or fibreglass filler like Bondi with a good release agent. When cured sand out the top edges to remove any tape marks and paint in a grey/black to match the carbon fibre.

Thanks mate, will give that a go it to much crap gets jammed under the barrel. Cheers
