I'm thinking a Tikka and good luck to him may he hold off the the invaders.
I reckon that if you are defending your country you use whatever you have at hand..... Look how many times troops were pinned down in Afghanistan by Taliban fighters firing down on them from long range with 303's and Mosins...
Trouble with those big hitters, is it makes hit and run tactics more difficult. The slighty smaller but more man portable calibers could arguably cause more casualties.
And the firing signature is a lot less. But the heavy cal sniper rifles do have their place.

It sounds like that is exactly what the Ukrainian special forces are doing well behind the Russian's front line. Would be a helluva scary place to be. Especially with the number of drones being used for forward observation. I felt for these 2 isolate Russian soldiers in a scraped out hollow with a Ukrainian drone hovering above them. Sheesh..... Looks like a Tikka T3 Tactical to me, not think the Super Varmint came in anything other than Stainless.
The T3 Tac came in 300wm I believe but is probably 308.
Scope is a PST Gen 2, in MRAD so a man of good taste.
Has a non-swivel Harris thats installed backwards, maybe we could crowd fund him a better bipod.
there is a video somewhere where the guy talks about it. Its a Tikka tactical.
Have seen the tikka / vortex combo in pictures of other Ukrainian snipers/ marksman this last week over here.
