Thread: UPGRADE SUPPRESSER

Just slightly upgraded my oldish Gunworks Sparton suppresser from 4" forward of barrel to 5"forward.Hopefully quieten the 308 down a little.41mm dia x 9" long to 41mm dia x 13.5"long.
Velocity increased from 2836f/s to 2900f/s using the same croney.
POI changed in elevation rising about 2" at a hundy.
So did a rough hundy group yesterday on a warm barrel.
Went out this evening and fire 5 shots out of nice cold barrel.Walked to target,hmm as I got closer I thort bugger only 2 shots hit.Then I got closer,surprize.Only 2 holes with 5 shots.Slight southerly breeze from right to left.
The thermal clip on,on a $350 Nikko stirling scope shooting so good i wont change anything.
Suppresser has quieten the 308 down a little.Guess deer will tell me the difference between old and new.

Good shooting dude is the shinny tape due to the clip on?

No thats just cooking foil glued on cardboard,blue paper glued on top to make the foil cross.I can hold my day scope cross hairs half way up and across the foil in the middle.Geta me a nice steady hold on centre of foil each way.
Foil white,cross hairs black makes it easy to hold on centre.
Black is my cross hairs I can see from 100yds on foil easily.
