    I'm not trying to be a dick but...

    "The field of view is poor and I've had multiple situations where my mate has spotted game with binos but it's taken me ages to get on target due to this"

    I'd be very surprised if many scopes offer a fraction of field of view that binos do, that's kind of exactly what the binos are for. Reference points and using it dialled lower magnification help a lot in these situations.

    Again, not trying to be a dick, have had similar issues in the past also and found I was just habitually winding mag up too far to begin with

    Thanks for your concern but I do understand how to reduce magnification when trying to find a target… Never did I suggest a scope replaces binos. I’m speaking from direct experience using a Vixen V1 compared to another scope in the same conditions, on the same terrain, with the same mate spotting. I find it harder to get on target with the Vixen.
