Thread: VX5 HD turret spinning when carrying

Anyone had issues with a Vx5 turret spinning when carrying??

(zero lock rubs on my pack and frees itself and spins freely)

Has happened multiple times on last few hunts often up to 12moa

Just wondering if other have had this or is it just the way I’m carrying it, have been taping it but not really ideal.

Get someone to look at the way your carrying it

I've pushed through plenty of Scrub with my vx5 strapped to rifle and never had that happen. Could be an easy fix by simply turning your rifle around or fitting a neoprene scope cover before strapping it on.

Yeah good call, I’ve had a vx5 previously and never had an issue same pack ect, have done a fair bit of bush bashing but don’t think it’s that, I reckon the spring is worn in the locking mechanism, have emailed leupold nz and asked for a new turret cap pretty sure I’ll be sorted then
