VX5 zero stop letting go ? help

    Hey guys
Have always like the leupys , I purchased a VX5 fire dot in 2019. Love everything about it , have it on a Sako 85 270wsm , running reloads , and its deadly asf.
UNTIL , the last couple months , after dialing up and shooting , ill miss maybe the next shot or one after.
When I recheck it , its always high. Not left or right , always high.
I zero it , goes good , then back to high again after a shot or 2.
Mounts , barrel , loads are very consistent , everything seems as it should. I try read the wind as best as i can when shooting etc etc.

For example , I shot a deer last wednesday at 380 yards in the shoulder , bang flop , the young fella drilled one in the neck at 467 on saturday , tried shot , impressive shooting for a 16 YO , and he doesnt use it bugger all.
I go to shoot a hynd at 357 yards on tuesday, clean miss above her , no wind , dialed in etc bla bla bla.
I Check what its doing on paper ,9 inchs high at 100 yards ? this has happened 3 times in the last couple months , time before was 4 inchs high , time before that 7.5 inchs high

I googled it , and found that this happens abit with these zero stop caps.
Tweaking the 3 screws evenly when tightening it up seems to be the main suggestion , which i did anyway .
In that same thread , some mentioned loctite.
when I removed the cap last time to re zero it , only unscrewing one screw bugger all , released the cap , ive never noticed that before.

Is there anything else i can do , so close to the roar , without removing scope and sending it away ?
Was going to replace the screws hoping that might help. Im not frowning upon using loctite either haha.
Nothing worse than losing confidence in your tools , especially when you love it
    Any suggestions welcomed.
    Cheers team
