Weaver base on Rossi lever action

Anyone made a small weaver style base that will fit on the barrel of a Rossi 44 lever action? Need to mount a red dot as my eyes are no good for the open sights these days. Thanks

ring butchers in pleasant point and ask how they did theirs ......pretty sure its using something at about rear sight area....looked great but weird being forward...cant argue with its effectiveness.

Ordered mine a few minutes ago, $67.50 with post. Some helpful advice on the old Hunting and Shooting at times.

Are you sure? I poked a torch at the holes to be sure. Tapped alright.

    Pics as requested @The bomb

I had sight mounted at the back of the rail. Also did a fair bit of work to the action... made a hell of a difference. If you want to know what I did PM me. Bit to much to write here.....k
