Thread: Weaver K8 info and value?

Evening,

I was given this scope a while back from a family member. Just curious if anyone knows anything about them. I haven’t found a whole lot about them online. The body is not in bad condition but the glass is average, particularly the objective. Almost looks like it’s been bloody sandblasted but it’s still surprisingly good to look through. Unfortunately one of the rings is missing part of the clamp and the threaded portion has broken off.

Also, would love to get the glass cleaned up if anyone knows a source?

I think you are looking at moisture inside the scope (pebble effect). I sent a Weaver back to the States for refurbishment but it was expensive for the postage.

It’s most definitely not moisture inside unfortunately. It’s rough to the touch. I might look into that. How much approx did it cost you to get done? And how much did the shipping cost you?
