When I was young about 4 years ago I had a M18 in 6.5PRC that I cut to 20". Apart from being at the top end of "sporter" weight I cant recall a single fault. It was factory cerecoated and that was nice. Trigger exceptional. Action and loading smooth. Shot beautifully.
Cant get carbon stocks for them which is a shame (for weight) but the factory stock has a good shape and nice feel to it.
Sold it 'cos if you have a 6.5 swede (or any 6.5) you dont need a 6.5prc. M18 would be great value in 308 with a shorter barrel.

I always jump in about now and stick up for some of the old girls as accurate as modern mainly LSA 55 Tikka lovely light all steel shoot very well Remington 788 many made in 18-1/2 inch barrell carbine model extremely accurate - I will stick my kneck out here and say a good 788 will shoot as well as a modern Tikka - most shooters that old girl will be better than them - Remington model seven neat rifles so have a look around you may get a bargain with scope and suppressor

It would have been a Sako but none were made in 7mmsaum

It took me a few years before I converted 7mm08 Sakos to saum and then I was away harvesting
