x 2 ebf, he has another thread looking to splash 5k on an Ar to look tacticool and not shoot either! I obviously need a pay rise!! I am looking forward to the thread on splashing 5k on full webbing, armour and helmet starting Nah in all seriousness polarbear if you can afford to buy cool gear just for the sheer hell of it good on you. But I would recommend using it.

Spend 1500 on a remmy 700 tacticool, and donate the rest to the 'Nick-D could really use $3500 bucks to spend on a new hunting rig' charity.
I hear they do great work....

You will probably get twice as accurate for near half the weight and price as soon as you remove the words"sniper""tactical" and "army" from your post and have a rifle built.
You wont have to reload if you don't shoot it

Good for you P Bear, nothing wrong with wanting something "cool" and if ya got the $$ burning a hole in ya pocket then find something you like go for it

But don't buy a friggen 308 ( I have a bit of a love'n'hate affair with those at the mo ) make sure you get a cool cal to go with a cool new toy

I wouldn't spend 5k on a shitty $308 if you have that kind of money to spend on a rifle you may as well buy it in a cal that's worth having but hay that's just me

Buy a Tikka and put the best glass on it and that should take you up to $5k
