While I'm not opposed to the idea of owning rifles, expensive or otherwise, purely for collection purposes, I do think that perhaps you should have more of a focussed idea on what you are actually looking to collect. Are you interested in the sniper rifles of any particular military or time period, for example?

I do find it a interesting that people are discussing the calibre of a gun that:

1: Will likely never be purchased
2: If it is it will probably never be fired
3: If it is it will probably be at a target closer than 100m
4: And if so it will probably be a piece of paper

In all seriousness there's nothing wrong with wanting something that just looks cool, if I was OP and had mad cash to blow on something like that I'd want something that looks like the AWP out of Counterstrike.

Was one for sale on trademe few weeks back. Think it was the same dude who at one stage had over 30k worth of rifles alone listed, plus a good 15-20k of scopes

I dont know what all the fuss is about in regards to wanting to blow $5k on a rifle.

If it floats his boat and he has the means then go hard. No different from a nice peice of art, which is ultimatley what it will be for this guy.

To the OP, keep saving and just get an AI bro. AX PSR ticks most of your boxes.........And before ChrisF jumps in, yes, you can get them here. You just have to pay for it.

Sportsways Gunshed listed a TRG within their clearance sale for $5500 which would have been a steal.

Looks like they wound up on the 17th of last month though.
The AI ATs are priced competitively, PSRs are retarded expensive.
