It's a Wildcat composites out of Canada, its actually fibreglass, its a fair bit lighter than any of the more traditional aftermarket offerings, even the carbon ones. No other mods to action or bolt, other than docking the barrel to 15" (to get rid of bad corrosion from previous owner leaving a suppressor on)

The barrel slight heavy profile is a bit of a killer on that rifle.

Model 7 708. Standard barrel, dpt over barrel and a vx3 2.5-8 all up 3.3 kg.

It is soon to be sent off to get a heavier barrel 20 inch 6.5 creedmoor barrel and will probably end up with a vx5 3-15 on it.

Iv spied them online look neat all right keep the price down by coming unfinished which leaves a lot of options in the world of hydro dipping

    M7 260 unaltered ( no supressor) Vixen 2.5 x15 x 50 scope

    Scope weight 600 grams
    stock weight 650 grams
the rest of it must be 1950 grams
    3.2 kg total

Must get it bored out to 7mm looks like I could save some weight there.

Some hunting rifles are just born heavy.
The Mauser 18 being a case in point.

And to make matters worse the mag release mechanism is built into the stock that makes it nigh on impossible to restock with carbon.

I really like mine but its 3.6 kG before adding suppressor, and with the lightest scope possible.
