    I have another model 7 708 CDL VX2 2-7 without a can and that’s 3kg.
The B&C stocks are not light, reasonably stiff but not light.

Ive just taken one off my 15" 708 mentioned on the first post in this thread and moved it to another rifle to make it heavier for a bit of prone LR target stuff.

When you are use to carring the weight you dont notice it, but believe me you sure notice when you carry a much lighter one.

its not the extra barrel i want more the shorter length an no bolt action 308s have 8 twist barrels, lighter weight would be a bonus

Sako 85 Finnlight medium action, Sako 30m ring mounts, A-tec CMM-4,4 baffle Suppressor, Nightforce 2.5-10x42 NXS, no ammo, is reading between 3.6 and 3.7kg on the bathroom scales.

The 260 Finnlight I had with DPT Mk2 and VX5HD 3-15x44 felt so light it seemed like a toy, I don't think I ever weighed it. I never took it hunting either, only to the range.

This thread has made me realise my cheapo fish scales may not be as accurate as i thought. Great for bragging about the weight of the days catch, not so good if they inflate the weight of my rifles. Reading about near identical rifles as mine weighing a decent chunk less (some even with some rounds in the mag), means something is awry in my weight measurements.

I guess knowing the weight is something, but if you enjoy carrying it regardless of the figure, does it really matter that much?

Mine is just shy of 4kg
Sako a7, fluted 24" barrel, fluted bolt, stug carbon stock, maniatis carbon suppressor, carbon javelin bipod, Allen neoprene sling, athlon argos 4-20×50 scope sitting in contessa alloy rings and a contessa 20moa rail.
I could easily save a chunk of weight by switching out the rail set up for talleys rings (I may do that as don't think the rail is needed for a hunting rifle).
The whole weight pictured is including bolt, mag, sling, bipod and suppressor.

Would love to rebarrel to 300wsm one day and run it a 20" chopping the 270wsm is not something I'm prepared to do.

Ha, this is the first time I've ever weighed mine, but I can tell you it is a heck of a lot lighter to carry about than my Remington 1990 made BDL 30 06 with a Bell and carlson Alaskan 11 stock and rail and Leica ER .

How much does my suppressed hunting rifle weigh? Too bloody much apparently ha ha.

My Howa 308 20 inch barrel, dpt mk1 with Talley 30mm rings and vortex hs 4-16x44, comes in at 4kg loaded.
It's too accurate to mess with, I am tempted mind you

The wife's Tikka the 7mm08 with 20 inch barrel, dpt, Talley 30mm rings holding vortex viper HS 4-16x44 comes in at 3.5kg. Not a lot in it really, both in factory stocks.

Sako A7 roughtec pro 7mm rem mag with 24 inch fluted barrel, Hardy gen five stealth, factory bases, Warne 30mm steel rings and surprise, vortex viper hst 4-16x44 weighs in somewhere around 4.5kg (slightly over I think). Again, too accurate to mess with. I used to have a Bushbuck bipod attached to the front of it as well which put it over or just on 5kg I'm pretty sure.

Biggest areas to save easy weight are barrel length, purely less steel is weight. And the scope choice, can be a couple hundred grams in scopes pretty easily I found

Hence why I'd love to re barrel to 300wsm as it responds better to a barrel chop than the 270wsm, apart from the extra weight shaved off with a barrel chop it would also improve the balance with a suppressor fitted
