Those Savage Lightweights look nice eh, one of those in 243 or 260 would be just the ticket.

Mind you if you're trying to use the whole $2.5k budget it won't get you very close unless you include optics as well, and Kimbers are pretty sexy too...

got a vortex viper HS 4-16x44 sitting waiting for a new rifle, thinking a gunworks suppressor and good quality rings/base should make up the diff, or ditch the suppressor for a ruger 10/22 as well

Bung your 2.5k down on a sako of your choice, and decent shop will let you pay the rest over an agreed period without charge.rings in the box as well.

Fair enough! Personally I'd probably go to DPT for a lightweight suppressor and get something accurate instead of a 10/22 , but whatever floats your boat its all good. Vortex should be a nice piece of glass.

For my money the a7 isnt anymore gun than the t3. It offers an extra locking lug???? Who cares. For me it would be a winchester extreme weather..a kimber or a t3 with the new bell and carson stock. If you really want a sako buy a real one not the a7

So many good looking guns in that price range.

Personally if i'd saved that much I'd try and save a bit more and get a Sako 85 even if it took me 3 or 4 months to do it. They are a dream gun for me, something to last me 30 years. A7 is nice as well, hard call, hope you enjoy what ever you get.

    regards

Your 250 off a walnut blued 85 and 600 off a Finn, get the Sako if your inclined that way,but the real Sako and worry about the supressor later.
If no gunshop in your area will let you pay the rest off for no interest pm me.

got an A7 with gunworks suppressor coming. cant find anything in the 85 that justifies an extra $1200 other than name snobbery.

Top loading steel detachable mag integral dovetails decent stock.
probably not 1200 bucks better but better.

A7 can be top loaded, dont use mags so that was the main reason why i went for it over a T3. everything else is T3 to A7 levels of change, fuck all.

a7s are better than t3's but not by much.
both fall short of the sako 75s and 85s
they shoot blody well and are a good light hunting rifle tho
