Don’t have a .222 but have looked at one. I have a Gerarm .22 Semi ( A7) and they are a quality made rifle. Mags are challenging to get. Their CF bolts have always looked interesting.
Thanks Southcity. I was told by the seller not to lose the magazine for my .222 .Extras are practically non existing. Neither are any manuals or paperwork. I have literally spent hours online and found nothing. They are well built and mine is a great shooter. I only hope nothing breaks because there are no spare parts. But I really like it.
It will be a nice addition to the safe. We seldom have failures so you should be fine. Would be worth decocking the bolt when not in use?
I have a couple of French Uniques and couldn’t find 5 shot mags in NZ so managed to find a supply of new mags in France. Pre 2019 I bought them into NZ. Much harder now. I would join a Gevarm forum or look online in the French buy sell. ( use translate app) For sure there will be stuff available in France. Enjoy it.
One of my family member has one. Unfortunately the mag was lost and got replaced with a weihrauch mag slightly modified.kind of works.
Rumour is that there have been only 25 ever produced …
The basic design of the Gevarm C1 was the basis for the Norinco JW-105 bolt action, reliable, easy to make, and inexpensive. Just a bit of useless information for you!
A bit off topic here, but may help someone get an old girl running again.
Gevarm after market 8 round magazine. Triple K brand, modified to fit E1 Takedown and A3 Carbine.

If it flies, floats or f#cks, your better off to rent it
I was told when I bought it to be very careful not to loose the magazine. I have modified it to be a single shot. It works quite well. I can tell you with certainty that there were more than 25 made. My C1 is an upper two digit rifle and one other person who is our go to Gevarm guy has a three digit unit. I was able, through him, to obtain an image of a Gevarm C1 in a factory publication. It's in French of course. It's quickly become one of my favorite rifles. It's going to the range with me today, despite a high temperature of 9 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind chill of minus 12. Dressing in lots of layers.
Thank you for that information. I will look into it.
