He is also one of those people who dont think they could ever be at fault, he was such a cunt to a good mate of mine after fucking up his rifle that he wont get a cent of my $ again despite me being very happy with all his products that I have personly bought

Nothing but good things to say about hardy engineering from me
Ive had 1 rifle rebarreled, 4 more barrels shortened & 2 of their suppressors
All done with very reasonable prices and good service from a local business
I know other blokes who would also say the same

I have a Hardy's. I got it with a second hand rifle I purchased. It would leak soot and gas onto the outside of the barrel. Being a practical person, I rang and asked the person at Hardy's. (Pretty sure he said his name was Dan) . I explained I got it second hand and I was not asking for it to be fixed under warranty. I offered to pay a fair price fr a repair to stop the leak and I presumed that they would be able to sort it as they had made it. I was told flat out, no discussion, that "HIS SUPPRESSORS DON"T DO THAT. IT MUST BE THE RIFLE" . I went and checked my rifle again. It has a single hole at the end called a muzzle. SO the only place that could get soot and gas onto the barrel is through the suppressor. Yes, every company can make a mistake. It is how that company deals with that mistake that separates it from the others. Dans mistake was when he had a customer who was happy to spend money he treated me like an idiot. I have since purchased several Gunworks suppressors for myself, and have had mates fit gunworks cans as well.

If you really want to buy one, get it from a H&F or other gunshop, not direct from Hardy's. That way if anything goes wrong, you can deal with a shop that will sort it because they have to and not Dan who seems to think he cannot make a mistake.

For the record, I think that Hardy's cans for the most part are well made and they work. (But so do Gunworks, DPT and most others). So I have no quarrel with the product he makes, just his complete lack of service. You say he can be misunderstood. I think he has misunderstood what being in business and customer service means.

I have 2 sonics. I found the center core which is stainless rusted pretty quickly, so took to leaving them where the sun would dry them out each day.

The other issue was that the baffles tended to unscrew during firing, so I got a slice of radiator hose about 20mm wide, laid it along the length of the can, and wound heat resistant magic (self amalgamating) tape around it. The baffles are held in place by external fricton. No more problems.

The can probably backed off the threads during prolonged gong shooting due to heat and gas which would of caused the projectile to slap into a baffle and discharge the suppressor off the end.

All in all, that's the operators error.

Is the operators error if you say what happened happened. But it could have just as easily been a fault with the suppressor
