If people need to ask that question they are unlikely to understand the answer. Many view firearms quite differently to other items that people collect for whatever reason.

A well written article. Captures many of the reasons we own rifles and more rifles….
Personally I buy for use, nostalgia, engineering and art. I have long learnt investment is a long shot. ( excuse the pun)
Mostly I never have the conversation I own rifles as if it’s not your thing you feel like you have to justify why you own one or many. Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be the case if you have a collection of cars. Both have the potential to kill.

Need to spend my paltry allowance on something. Guns, ammo, books/magazines are my main hobbies/interests.
