Gday , can the front and rear sights be replaced on these?
The front sight little bead has snapped off and the rear sight as been bronzed but they are bloody avg. Wondering if they can be replaced? Or is it a contract...

need some better pics of the front. Is it in a dovetail, if so easy peasy. The worst case is to braze/silver solder a brass pin back on. rear sight deffo should be on a dovetail to replace the whole thing but again the pics arent quite instructive enough
Ok , here's a few more....
Thats heaps better. Front sight is easily replaceable. source a suitable replacement and drift it out drift new one in. Could do similar with the rear. You can buy flouro hivis replacements.
Id have a chat with your local gunsmith, may even have a suitable set in the parts box.
Yep unless you find an old gunsmith with a couple floating around you can't get new in nz. Plenty in America or Canada if you know someone who will post for you. You can get the hi vis ones in nz though.
Easy to replace, just gotta find some and a gunsmiths spares box is a good start. Or flog some off a buggered old 22. Or put the word out on here, theres probably a few old buggered barrels that have the sights still attached.
Ok thats good news, surely some good chaps on here would have something floating around to help a struggling farmer slash pig hunter out....
I'll have a Google up on the hi vis sights too
The M94 Trapper doesn't have the bead on the front sight, it's just a blade (pretty much what you have now) - just something to be aware of when looking for a 2nd hand replacement.
Yea ok thankyou, ill try find a gunsmith that might have something laying around
and for crying out loud give that muzzle a recrown..that is shockingly pitted.one would hope the bore has been looked after better.
yip the sights easy to drift out and replace.

I have an old husqvarna that was shoved up in a ceiling years ago.
Never managed to find a mag or bolt for it.
You can have it you want for the sights.
