    Winchester XPERT

Just been given a part brick of this stuff from someone. Before my time, made in Australia.
    Solid projectiles, no hollow point.
Anyone know much about it? Will give it a crack in the new Tikka, see how it shoots.

    Greetings McNotty,
Used to use it in my 10-22 and Winchester M69 until it disappeared from the market. Very accurate. Marked as Standard velocity which we would call subsonic these days. Target ammo.
    Regards Grandpamac.

Cheers guys, it’s crimped, which I’ve heard takes out a lot velocity variance issues. I don’t use any target ammo, but is it common for it to be crimped?

Most 22 ammo (all?) has a small roll crimp.
I have a couple of 100 Geelong made Xpert. It shoots very well in one of my rifles. Have been rationing it.

Sorry, I should’ve said I’m not used to seeing it 1/3 the way down the case.
