My 2.5-8 has a hole in the centre of the reticle. Seems to be about .1mil. It's quite nice.
different to the standard duplex? if mine has it i havent noticed
then again i have no idea how big a mil is, im still stuck in moa
Also the 4x reference was just because I don't really have much problem Hitting Things where I want to hit them with a fixed 4x ACOG, it's familiarity (training) and mindset (confidence). I've noticed new shooters tend to love high magnification where it's not needed.
Counter Example:
Posted before, but whatever, it's on the front page of my photobucket. 3 shots at 250 meters with 4x32 ACOG when I was testing the drop chart.
im struggling to work out whats going on in that picture,
maybe I need more magnification....
It's 3 shots about 2 inches low of the centre of the plate, shot at 250 meters with fixed 4x
well with an executive decision and help from Quentin at 45South I now have a Swarosvki Z3 3-10. Think that should cover any issues with glass quality and magnification
Finally got time to test the scope today and make sure it was worth the change.
Rushy was kind enough to lend his back paddock for the early morning test.
Result - its a lovely scope to use, the easy twist rear eye piece allowed me to get the clearest view of the target very quickly.
It's a much bigger step up from the VX3 than i expected clarity wise and the slightly increased magnification is nothing to sneeze at
I'm all ready for shooting a couple of goats next weekend.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
What reticle? I have recently put one on my 300winmag with the BRH reticle. Brilliant 'scope and the reticle works like a gem. Kills out to 400 yards are no problem.
With a good european 'scope and a good long range reticle or accurate click adjustments 300 yds is the new 100.

I think your talking up my shooting a bit too much there Rushy.
It always was and always will be a MOA rifle though, no better no worse.
Tahr its the 4A reticle, I'm still a bush hunter at heart.
