WTB - dial up caps for vx1 or vx2 Leupold - do they exist?

I heard there were some advertised on TM, and have had a look on there and on Ebay etc, without joy. I'm after dial up caps (elevation only would be fine) to put onto my old VX1 and VX2 leupolds, that are on a .22 and air rifle, to enable dial-up capability.....

Am I imagining it or are these available somewhere for less than extortionate amounts?

I have some stoney point?? dials that would probably fit. They fitted on my vxiii and for your type of rifle would likely meet your needs.

Yep - that would be the thing. Seems dear tho? Or is that fair enough, guess it's cheaper than a new scope.......

One thing to be careful of with these is the thread that holds them onto the scope turret base. I once got some Stoney Points and the anodizing on this thread was crook. It def wasn't cross-threaded. Nett result- they galled and buggered the scope turret threads. Luckily I'd bought them from a big US outfit and they more than stood by the product. In the end, they swapped the scope out for a far better Leupy that had tall turrets as std.

Factory can fit target turrets too. Had a 2-7 with them on.

Got a couple of turrets, thanks Woody. Will put them on the 1.5 to 5 soon and put that on the pcp.
    Thanks forum.

Got this done, swapped the VX3 1-5 off the 10-22 and onto the PCP. Then stuck the new dial caps on, this was fiddly as I didn't click for a bit that there were 2 wee torx grub screws holding the dial onto the shaft that slotted into the original screw adjustment. Once I sorted that, all worked to plan. By the time the .22 slug gets past 60 yards it is dropping pretty quickly, but this enables a quick process to range the bunny, dial and then shoot. I took the windage one back off again as it got in the way of the mag a little, but mainly as I didn't think I'd use it.

The only concern is that I don't think the dial caps are waterproof. The original screw caps have the rubber gasket to close onto but the dial caps don't seem to make good contact, and the cap itself would allow water to get in anyway . Not intending to be rabbit shooting in the rain anyway so no issue.
