When i rebarrel my abolt people said not possible fine threads etc some said blued actions were better than ss ones for rebarrel i had my old barrel releif cut
So was easier to remove so less chance of stuffing fine threads
So far so good after a few years

They do have very fine threads but I have seen Dean Maisey do a few of them so could be smith dependent, I know he said they were a pain in the arse but definitely do able,

Any smith that has an issue with a fine thread shouldn't be a smith

Dean re-barreled my A-Bolt to 6.5 SLR, shoots as good as my Stiller Predator. A-bolt/X-bolt are great actions, super fast cycling with 60 deg bolt throw.

Just pitty there arn't many after market parts

It should take you a while to wear out 7mmRM barrel under normal hunting use conditions
If/when you do so and you want to re-barrel then +++++1 for the 7mmBM especially if your cramped for mag space.
But options for semi custom and parts, stocks etc much better if you went with REM700 or Tikka.

Good advice and the route I ended up taking, have a rem700 30nosler being built at the moment. Parts were alot easier to source now and in future.
