Thread: Zastava mini AR carbon lightweight build

6.5 Grendel Zastava M85. On my custom built Carbon/Paulownia stock. Been building this in and off for a couple years I guess. Often been put in the too hard or too busy basket. Not yet quite complete but usable and you get the look even tho theres a fair few more hours to go.

AR style of course this is a bolt action. Yet to finish modifying the tikka 223 mag to fit and put the butt pad on and a couple of finishing details. I’ll weigh it tonight and post that too

2.8kg scoped and suppressed. I took the bipod off to weigh it. Stock is 550g aprox from memory. Barrel is a heavier than factory fluted 1:8 twist krieger about 16”. To lighten it further I have a 7.62x39 barrel to fit if I can be bothered changing ammo. Grendel knocks deer and pigs over just fine and sensible ranges
