Hi troops, scope query here. I'm wondering if anyone out there has used both the above and if so what are your thoughts on both? Interested to know their strengths & weaknesses.
Cheers

Leupold warranty is top notch and for that alone i wouldnt buy much else
I have a V4 4-16 Zeiss and rate it highly. Great glass, excellent in low light, the illuminated reticle is pin point. I have the exposed turret version, the windage is a push pull setup which can't be accidentally moved. The clicks are clear and positive. Having said that I reckon you could buy either of these models and be very happy.
ZeroPak Vacuum Sealers, Zero air Zero waste
I've got both, and both are good. The Zeiss V4 has a shorter tube than the leupold VX5 so look at the ring spacings on your action.
The Zeiss is quite a bit cheaper than the leupold and doesn't have the same resale.

I'd try these guys and see if they will ship across.
Not so sure about resale value as there are many VX 5's coming on here for $1500 to $1850 after paying $2400. I never owned a VX 5 but would like to know the reason why everyone getting rid of them.
I have a Zeis and rate it.
VX5 turrets for the win, V4 reticle choice for the win. Had VX, currently got V4 & rate both.

Both are good. I went with V4 for reticle selection.
Cheers fellas! some good info there
Did a couple of guiding seasons for an outfit that was sponsored and had Zeiss Conquest on all their rifles. They were all returned to manufacturer at the end of the season because they couldnt be relied on and had too many faults. VX5 for the win, hands down!
I always found the coating on the zeiss scratches for t he at reason will not buy another one , I really rate the vx5

Some guys can fuxk up anything I’ve found. Zeiss are good quality unless you fall into the first group.
I’ve had to return both zeiss and Swarovski for bits of shit in the tube. Kahles for “rusty reticle”, leupold for dodgy erector tubes.
None are perfect but
Leupold do have a good warranty.
I use them all.

Can‘t commend on either because I have no experience with them but I would tend towards the scope with the better warranty.
Zeiss is not well known for the latter.
Had a VX5 that suffered from the furry reticle. Sent it back for refurb. Sold it straight away to a mate. He had problems with it almost immediately and it went back for more work. Felt like an ass moving the problem on to someone else. Won’t own another one.
