    It's also a lot of coin tied up in optics, good place to spend it but like kelton has said above-if you need some cash and can get by without the scope then you can replace a scope later.

    Both scopes are very good, myself and a mate have vx5s, another mate has the v4. No complaints from anyone, but me lol the duplex reticle on my firedot is quite thick compared to what I'm used to. I'm going to do a side by side with my burris signature 3-15 and if I can't tell the difference across a couple of key situations, then the vx5 may be up for sale.

    I got my zeiss 3-15 conquest from magnum sports a few years back very good price and very happy with the zeiss.

    The duplex retical on my Zeiss HD5 is quite thick but i really like it, perfect for a hunting scope. It doesn't matter how dark it is, if i can still see a deer i can pick it up with the rectical in my scope no worries and not so much in my leupold scopes with a finer retical
