Best I've achieved is three in separate spots on one day trip, early June from memory met one stag sitting in the morning sun on the North South Track between the TeTuhi - Wairere Tracks with more than reasonable head gear last seen doing 0 - 60K heading towards KatiKati when he saw me, not quick enough to get lead in the air.
Two hinds of which one had a ride home on the loop back through Clay Road towards Whaka

Best I've seen is two. I shot the hind and the yearling bolted. It is certainly harder going up there than say the kaimanawas. Seeing two in one day in there wouldn't be anything to write home about. Of course the Reds seem to cop a bullet more often than the sika do! Haha
    Yeah nah bro

You can't count that high Gibo.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
