All work……. Little bit of play!

Starting my own business with a good mate a few months back has seen my weekend hunting passes ( and energy) greatly reduced, however being our own bosses has put us in contact with some real good buggers who are only to happy to have us take a few unwanted animals out of the blocks we work.
My mate is just going through the waiting game for his license , but this fallow doe provided his first deer solid shot to for a first at 180m, after a decent wait of about 90 mins for her to reappear from somethick Manuka

Looks good nothing like a few perks of the job. @Sparrow try not to wear blue if your stalking in on deer. They can see this a lot easier than other colours.

“ it seems that the worst color you can wear is blue. Deer eyes lack the ultraviolet light filter that human and other longer-lived animals have, which means they see blues and other short-wavelength colors about twenty times better than we do. “Blue jeans are much more vivid to a deer than blaze orange,”

    Might help up the tally

Yep one dark and one light of to the tannery, I don’t get the chance to shoot many fallow so I am slightly over gunned and unfortunately the .308 makes 2 larger holes than I would of liked

Unbeatable. Being able to hunt in the work zone is something that is priceless.
    Very good meat. My congratulations.
