    Another quick overnighter

I have just been getting back into doing overnight hunts again, and traveling light as I can go because of the heat in Marlborough going into the 30s a big pack is just too much to carry. I even got a light weight pair of boots Salomon Quest 4D GTX instead of my Lowa tibets. It was a competion to beat the wasps and flys to the meat in the morning.

Here's a sow I got last night shot in the ear from my bivy 12m away with the 300blk. The photo is crap as I was using my phone to save weight.

Good so far only done a few trips so far. They dry ferly quick, can sneak up on animals way better than my Lowa's, also can move through the bush a lot quicker from been lighter and are comfortable. Time will tell on how long they last with the stitching? from rocks and scree. I have arsed up a couple of times on the step down hill. I got them cheap on Ebay $190nzd landed.

Well done on the pig. Yep I know the exact feeling about boots, went and brought the exact same pair of boots yesterday, super light and comfy compared to my Asolos

mike they prolly wont like scree and sharp rocks, use the lowas meindls etc for that, these are good in the bush, or anywhere non scree. they dont have a super rigid sole, so not the best for cutting into ground etc but dry quick, LIGHT, comfy all the good things except scree prooof im guessing.

I used to wear a pair in Papua New Guinea when i was flying up there.good light weight boots and breath nicely. Not a lot of ankle support though so I agree with what @ANTSMAN said.
Dont get fuel on them, as soon as I got a wee bit of jet fuel on it the glue failed.
