I actually think there is some merit for a working dog to have a nice simple one syllable name. My dad bred working dogs all his life and reckoned the ones with one syllable names were always a bit sharper when on voice command

By anyone's standard both you and Dundee have great dogs that are a credit to their masters Ryan

That’s so awesome mate! One of the best reads I’ve had for a long time. You two are a great team with plenty of adventures ahead.

The Catahoula in him is from pig hunting lines, they're known for a super keen nose and plenty of kiwi/Aussie/yanks run them on pigs and quite a few yanks run them as deer dogs or blood trackers. I guess the heading dog slows him down a bit and injects a bit more intelegence. I've only heard him bark twice in his life so the heading dog bit obviously shuts them up a bit and makes them more likely to eye something up rather than go into chase mode

That was a choice story and a great outcome with Bo, well worth the hours put in to train your dog. Nice set of antlers to boot for the first deer, well done.
