100yd. Shot them out to 475 on Saturday. Out of my 14.5” barrel that’s as far as I can dial without removing the zero stop. But that’s further than I need anyway.

That saying you learn something new every day is spot on. That is how we become better hunters I guess.

    Good advice. Thank you

I spent an hour and half a couple of weekends ago AFTER finding big patches of blood, but couldnt find any more in any direction, ended up going where dog wanted to in first place and caught up with lightly wounded deer 4-500 yards later.
sure teaches a fella perseverance.good on you for sticking with it.enjoy the venison.
Riffle was sighted in at 100m zero which is all I need as I have decided never to take a shot past 500m and the Z5 allows me just enough ellivation to achive this with a 100m zero.

A good dog would certainly be the way to go but I live in town so not an option for me.

I have read many of your posts and learnt a lot from them so thank you.

Thank you. Yes there would be nothing worse than to lose an animal except to lose 2. Thankfully I have never lost one touch wood.

I guy I know tears off a piece of dunny paper and snags it on a branch nearest to where he fired the shot just for that purpose.
