I had one attached very firmly to my left thumb many years ago. The only thing that made him let go was sticking his nose under a running hose ...and that was a tame one
Had that happen a few times too. Had 14 of them at once when I was breeding them back in Hungary. It's good fun to flush rabbits with them or ratting with a couple of fast terriers. Was a good secondary income for a young gamekeeper.
