It wasnt human timelines that were being examined in the vid it was pre human.
Certainly there are some difficult to explain structures around the world. For example the millions of machine cut stone pavers in ancient egypt, stuff that no one bothers to consider. It will be interesting if the structure in the antartic turns out to not be a natural occurrence. Makes life interesting
@Moa Hunter, have you read At the Mountains of Madness by H P Lovecraft? He details the story there.
I'm halfway through it. Have not yet got to pre-human bit, but I have no issue with the idea of previous civilisations as they are such a consistent part of early human mythology and thought. Sensationalist versions of the story such as the netflix "Ancient Apocalypse" series are all very interesting.
We will only bring grief to our own standard of living for a no win. Unless the big polluters start the same process, I don’t see that happening, it’s not that I don’t believe things are changing, that’s a different argument for me, but I’m not living a much lesser life style if I’m the only one there.
I’m also not going to worry and fret about it, of course being on the Super curbs my daily wastefulness
Boom, cough,cough,cough
@Moa Hunter a bit disappointing to find the 'pre-human culture' is just Denisovans! I remember back in my uni days my Anthropology lecturer told us that the idea of Neanderthals being brutes was totally wrong; they had bigger brains than anatomically modern humans, and a neanderthal skull had been found that had been carefully opened and had healed in a way that if the same thing was seen on a modern skull during a forensic autopsy it would be considered proof that the deceased individual had undergone successful brain surgery. Further more, while the neanderthals did look different as a group, the defining characteristics are not outside the modern human variation and if you put a neanderthal into a business suit walking down a modern city street no one would look twice, given the existing variation in modern humans. Except for the fact their significantly larger brains would mean they were likely to be very successful people and probably the boss! I don't think it is reasonable to consider neanderthals, denisovans etc as seperate to modern humans as they clearly cross-bred with us and one of the defining traits of species is the ability to produce viable offspring. They were people, and possibly even of superior genetics to us.
Woa pull back on the reins big fella ! The vid showed a structure under the Antartic ice that if it is a non natural structure would pre-date the denisovians, neanderthals and modern humans by hundreds of thousands of years ( or millions, need to watch a second time). The vid does suggest that it could be of Denisovian
origin but what if it is not ??
That 'At the Mountains of Madness' would make for a great movie
I'm pretty sure Aliens vs Predator isn't a historical documentary.
The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is the fact that it has never tried to contact us.

Two things spring to mind:
One. A civilisation that can harness the stupendous amount of power and technology to be able to travel across the cosmos...and they can't transmit on our rudimentary electromagnetic frequencies to our radios and TV's and say "Yoohoo down there, we have arrived"?
And two. Whenever aliens or UFO's are mentioned in the US of A...LOOK THE OTHER WAY! They are just trying to distract you of some shit going down 180 degrees to all the hoopla.
